What is Amazon Selling NOW?

We all know that Amazon wants to sell you everything you need from groceries to hard to find items. The best part of the shopping experience with Amazon is your order arrives within a couple of hours or the next day. What is Amazon’s latest offering?

Amazon now wants to store your stuff that you are no longer using. I am not speaking about old furniture, baby beds, etc. that are stored in your basement or rental storage unit but your electronic data. Amazon is now offering businesses remote off-site storage of archived electronic data. For a Fortune 100 firm like Exxon, Ford, etc. maintaining electronic storage of their company data for the past 50 years has become a big problem.

Amazon will now pull up a semi-truck container to your location and off load all of this really old electronic data from their servers into the semi-truck and then transport that really old data to a remote secure location for you. One semi-truck container can hold data from 600,000 iphone 7 devices.

With that capacity, Amazon can move an entire data center in about 6 months. If you tried to do that same data transfer over the internet, it would take you 26 years. The semi-truck containers have full time security, GPS tracking and a full compliment of other security features to protect your data during transit to an Amazon facility.

While this Amazon service is not for we normal humans, it shows how Amazon is becoming the center of our universe for everything that touches our lives everyday. Any Fortune 100 company that has your personal data on their servers will now be storing that old data in Amazon data centers. We worry about big government what about big Amazon?
