US Government Revenues are down!

For the first 10 months of fiscal year 2016, the federal government has spent $514 billion more than they took in. 

The federal government receipts for this fiscal year were $2,679 billion. Individual income taxes receipts have declined by $4 billion, while social security taxes receipts increased by $38 billion. Individual tax payments declined by $4 billion. Tax refunds paid out increased by $15 billion for 2015. Receipts from unemployment taxes was down $4 billion. Corporate tax payments were 14% lower than the previous year.

On the expenditure side of the ledger, the federal government spent $55 billion more than last year. The biggest increase in expenditures was social security payments of $24 billion and interest payments on debt of $23 billion.

A formula that can not sustain itself in its present form. Is this the way you run your business?
