The US Army is missing $2.8 trillion dollars
The US Army’s 2015 audit was just completed. The Inspector General’s office found $2.8 trillion dollars in unsupported adjustments to the financials. The Army’s financials were so “materially misstated”, the Inspector General’s office said no one could rely on them. The report said the Army had $282.6 billion dollars in assets. Can not wait for the next report, where the Army said they will get it right next time! Do not believe that statement.
As a testifying forensic expert in court I am always looking for the money trail left by that person trying to distort the financial records of the entity I am examining. By turning over a few stones, you normally find the money trail of the missing assets. The truth may not always be in the numbers in front of you. You need to look below and behind the numbers for the true picture.
