IRS Whistleblower program paying out big

The IRS reported the results of its 2015 Whistleblower program. The IRS paid out $103 million in awards or 20% of amounts collected. Of the total paid awards in 2015, 11 claims collected in excess of $2 million. The IRS received 12,000 whistleblower claims in 2015 down from 14,000 in 2014.
